An effective learning framework allows the educators to align learning goals with classroom activities. It should:
Acknowledge what children already know and trigger their curiosity to know more
Provide active, experiential, and contextually-varied learning opportunities to build fundamental conceptual skills
Provide sufficient practice to develop the necessary skills and retain information
Develop the ability to apply their knowledge to different situations
We have designed the learning outcomes and engagement plans framework of the Dot Program keeping in mind the above points. Every week, the children get an opportunity to explore a specific theme and through that theme they engage in activities that meet the goals of the 8 learning areas of the Dot Program.
All our lessons and activities for the week in each of the learning areas are planned using the C.R.E.A.T.E. Learning Framework.
